Mentre i ragazzi sono in volo per l'Italia, ci giunge una mail dell'organizzatore del Torneo di Freeport. La lettera è talmente bella che non possiamo evitare di renderla pubblica e credo che ogni persona che ha partecipato o che comunque sia legato a questo gruppo in qualche modo si senta orgoglioso di appartenervi.
Inoltre per tutti una gradita sorpresa. Durante una partita era presente un fotografo professionista. Ci sono delle bellissime immagini di questi ragazzi. Sfogliate le pagine dalla 10 alla 22. Le foto possono essere acquistate seguendo le indicazioni del sito.

Hope all is well. If I remember correctly you were staying here in the USA for awhile and the boys were going back to Italy? I hope their flight home went well.
Paolo, once again I want to thank you and the team for coming back to the Freeport International Baseball Invitational. To say that the Italian team has captured the hearts and minds of the people of Freeport is an understatement. Since you have been gone the emails and phone calls about you and your team have been nonstop. Your team represented the City of Verona and the Country of Italy not just in a great baseball way but in a way that captures the spirit of the people of Italy.
As for your baseball team, Paolo your leadership with the team was shown early when you played Israel. What a game. It had everyone on the edge of their seat. I know you lost that game by one run but it was how you and the boys handled everything that showed your love and passion for the game of baseball. Your team truly plays “for the love of the game”
We cannot thank you and the boys enough for coming to play baseball. You may have left us to go back home but like last year, you carry our hearts with you all. I believe the town of Freeport has adopted you and your team as honoree Freeportarians!! We love you all!!
We know the cost is expensive to come play ball here in Freeport but we hope that you will consider coming back in 2013!!

Cari Paolo e Giovanna, grazie alla vostra iniziativa, i nostri ragazzi hanno avuto l'opportunità di fare un esperienza indimenticabile !!! Anche noi genitori, da casa siamo riusciti a seguire passo passo questo emozionante viaggio, grazie alle vostre cronache giornaliere.Vi ringraziamo di cuore per tutto e speriamo di incontrarvi presto.
